Are Vampire Teeth Real?

Some people call them vampire teeth, some people call them fangs, and other people call them canine teeth…essentially the same thing.

To fit in with the halloween spirit (since this post is being written in October), we’ll refer to them mainly as vampire teeth.

What are vampire teeth?

Vampire teeth are just canine teeth that are extra pointy and extra sharp. The shape is genetically predetermined.

If you have vampire teeth and don’t want them, an experienced dentist can fix them. It just takes a cosmetic procedure to do the trick. Make sure to choose an experienced dentist for this.

If you weren’t born with vampire teeth (aka sharp canine teeth) and you want them, you may be able to find a dentist who can reshape your canine teeth. The result would be sharper, extra pointy canine teeth…vampire teeth.

Vampire teeth…real or not?

Essentially it comes down to whether or not you believe in vampires. If you believe vampires exist, then so do vampire teeth.

If you don’t believe in vampires, then vampire teeth is just another phrase to describe canine teeth.

It also depends on whether or not you’re choosing to dress up as a vampire for halloween! If you are, then you’ll probably be shopping for a fake set of vampire teeth at your local halloween supplies store.

Regardless of your costume or if you believe in vampire teeth or not…happy halloween from Shining Smiles Family Dentistry!
